We are less than 2 months into 2008 and already Midas Technology looks very different from a year ago. Our acquisition of Autometic in early January (see press release below) not only brings new staff with additional core skills but also gives us a springboard to business in new areas, both geographical and technical. The first noticeable addition is a new training facility to be opened next month in Milton Keynes to complement our new regional office.

A year ago we made a commitment to an aggressive investment plan to deliver the very best customer service. Part of this plan was the introduction of a quality assurance programme designed as a platform to support all our customer contact and support activity. Our investment is now delivering additional resources, skills, services and training locations to existing and new customers. We now have ISO 2001:9000 certification and are committed to delivering customer service excellence across our organisation.

2008 will be another year of rapid growth and investment as we strive to deliver the very best in Manufacturing design solutions and services in support of our mutual business interests.

Enjoy this edition. I look forward to meeting many of you again at our forthcoming Autodesk launch events - watch out for your personal invitation!

It seems like only yesterday that I was writing to you in the inaugural Spring issue of Mice Communications introducing you to the latest 2008 products from Autodesk and announcing our launch seminars and here we are in our so called summer already!

Our seminar programme was, according to your feedback, a real success as many of you positively commented on the latest Autodesk software and the way that we showed the interoperability of these products working in a real project environment.

The overwheming star of these events was Autodesk Inventor, presented at the seminars by our team of Application Engineers. Our events were run in conjunction with our sister company CADline Ltd so for the first time the construction professionals that attended were able to witness the power of Autodesk Inventor!

It is clear that the lines between traditional construction based design and manufacturing continue to move closer together and in many cases have almost disappeared. Stimulating many conversations throughout the breaks during the events, Inventor obviously caught the imagination of all our customers from the construction industry.

Our manufacturing session focussed on the integration of the Autodesk Manufacturing solution that included AutoCAD Mechanical for 2D design, AutoCAD Electrical for electrical design and integration and of course Autodesk Inventor Suite and Professional.

The Manufacturing break out session received a hugely positive reception especially from existing users that had recently received the latest 2008 products under the Autodesk Subscription programme and who got the opportunity to learn new design functions in our Tips and Tricks session.

Furthermore, as we drew towards the end of our seminar schedule, we announced the name change of Mice Solutions Ltd to Midas Technology Ltd, more information is available in the section at the bottom of this page. I would like to thank all of our customers for taking the time to join us at our events this year, more than 500 of you did so and I trust that you gained some value and knowledge in your time spent with us.

For all those that could not attend this year,we have summarised the launch seminars in this issue of Midas Communications.Throughout the centre section you can gain an understanding of the project presented at each event and how the suite of Autodesk, CADline and Midas Technology products now integrate giving you a world class design solution and the competitive edge.

I hope that those of you that did join us this year will find the seminar review useful and that it serves as a reminder of your day.

Thank you for your time.

With best wishes,
